CHRISTIE WILLIAMS - PIANIST 

As a pianist in church music, I love the challenges of sight-reading new music, creating arrangements of existing music for the organist and I, improvising, playing by ear and Worshipping the Lord. I am inspired to play the piano for the Glory of God.

I began my music education with private instruction at age 8. I studied piano and church music at Cumberland College, Eastern Kentucky University, and Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Courses included: Old Testament, New Testament, Music Theory, Composition and Arranging, Piano Performance, Church Music, along with Arts & Humanities requirements.

I served as Church Organist at Corinth B.C., London, from age 12 - 19. Served as pianist and choral director at Community Christian Church, London, in the 1980's; and various other churches across Kentucky for over 40 years. Directed and accompanied first contemporary Christian musical in early 1970's, was previously a member of the Kentucky Guild of Piano teachers, and have served as pianist at New Salem Baptist for five (5) years.
